Job description
This role will be in Eglin, Florida and will require shift work and will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with the customer.
- Support early use operations on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system.
- Performs software testing on the DARC radar system.
- Review and update Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) within tech manuals and training documentation
- Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
- Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Support early use training on DARC radar system.
- Participate in, prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
- Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
- Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete.
- Reports to the system integration and test lead.
Requirements
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on satellite operations and/or missile defense operations experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or, 0 years with a master's degree in a STEM field.
- Experience working as part of an Integration and Test or Operations team across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements
- Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures.
- Experience preparing test reports.
- The ability to travel <10% travel to Colorado Springs to assimilate with the team at onboarding. The primary work location will be Eglin, Fl.
Preferred Qualifications (Evidence of skills, knowledge or experience in at least two of the listed preferred qualifications)
- Experience with hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations
- Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items
- Ability to document and record integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies
- International integration and/or test experience
- Software development integration and test methodologies
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- Experience with large ground data processing systems integration
- Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
