Job description
Our client is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to help drive quality across a complex enterprise application environment. This role combines automation development, backend data validation, and end-to-end testing in support of business-critical systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with modern automation frameworks, SQL-based testing, and Agile software delivery practices., * Design and maintain automated test scenarios using Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Develop and execute automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate backend data and business processes using SQL.
- Support testing activities across AWS-hosted environments.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure release quality.
Requirements
- 4-5+ years of QA Automation, Software Testing, or SDET experience.
- Hands-on experience with multiple automation frameworks, including Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber/BDD practices.
- Experience creating feature files, step definitions, and automated test scenarios.
- Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation testing.
- Experience performing API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Experience testing enterprise applications within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience using Jira, ALM, or comparable test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience developing automated tests using TypeScript, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud-based testing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS-hosted applications.
- Oracle and PostgreSQL experience.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with performance, resiliency, or cloud validation testing.
