Job description

SimVentions, Inc., a mission-focused technology solutions company, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and test hardware for complex defense and federal systems. In this role, you will create digital and embedded hardware designs, schematics, and PCB layouts; support prototyping and lab integration; and perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliable performance in mission-critical environments. You will collaborate closely with systems, software, and cybersecurity experts, contributing to innovative solutions that support U.S. national defense. Design and develop digital and embedded hardware solutions for defense and federal programs Collaborate with systems, software, and cybersecurity teams to integrate hardware into complex systems Create schematics, PCB layouts, and perform component selection and design validation Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and hardware debugging to ensure reliability and performance Support requirements analysis, documentation, and technical reviews with internal and customer stakeholders Contribute to prototypes, lab setups, and test environments for mission-critical systems Ensure designs meet industry, safety, and cybersecurity standards and DoD requirements Provide technical input to proposals and support estimation and planning activities Digital circuit design Embedded hardware design PCB design and layout (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad) Schematic capture tools FPGA or microcontroller-based system design Hardware testing and validation Signal integrity and high-speed design fundamentals Electronics troubleshooting and debugging Requirements analysis and documentation Version control and configuration management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field DoD or defense industry experience preferred Familiarity with MIL-STD and DoD standards a plus Security clearance eligibility strongly preferred (Secret or above)
