Job description
SimVentions, Inc., a mission-driven technology solutions company, seeks a Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and test innovative hardware supporting U.S. defense and federal missions. In this role, you will create schematics, PCB layouts, and embedded hardware, and collaborate closely with software, systems, and cybersecurity engineers to deliver integrated solutions. You will perform hardware verification, troubleshooting, and documentation while working in a supportive, family-like culture that values integrity, teamwork, and professional growth on impactful national defense projects. Design, develop, and test digital and embedded hardware solutions for defense-focused systems Create schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware documentation following industry and DoD standards Collaborate with software, systems, and cybersecurity engineers on integrated solutions Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis on hardware issues Execute and document hardware verification, validation, and environmental testing Support requirements analysis, architecture definition, and design reviews Ensure hardware designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and reusability of hardware designs Digital circuit design Embedded systems hardware Schematic capture (e.g., OrCAD, Altium, KiCad) PCB layout and design Hardware test and measurement (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) FPGA or CPLD design and verification Hardware debugging and root-cause analysis Requirements analysis and documentation Signal integrity and power integrity fundamentals DoD or regulated-industry hardware development standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Requirements
Security+ or other DoD 8570 baseline certification (or ability to obtain) Relevant hardware or embedded systems certifications (e.g., FPGA, PCB design tools) Eligibility for U.S. security clearance
