Job description

As a Senior UI/UX Software Engineer, you will play a lead role in designing, developing, and deploying modern applications within an agile, DevSecOps-enabled environment. You will work closely with a team of skilled engineers to build solutions that support a mission-critical customer application. This position provides opportunities for technical leadership, mentorship, and the ability to focus on UI/UX efforts or expand into the full microservices architecture. Candidates will work with a modern technology stack and have opportunities to continually expand their skills. Whether focusing primarily on UI/UX engineering or contributing across the microservice architecture, this role offers room for both specialization and growth., * Develop intuitive, responsive, and modern web-based user interfaces.

  • Research, design, develop, and test software applications for a variety of systems.
  • Gather and understand customer and operational requirements to implement new functionality.
  • Develop unit tests to validate critical aspects of the system.
  • Document and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Design and review user interface concepts, wireframes, and mockups to ensure clean, consistent, and user-centered experiences.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product stakeholders to refine UX workflows.

Requirements

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. ICR is seeking experienced and motivated Senior UI/UX Software Engineers to help design and deliver mission-critical applications for our customer., * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access (U.S. citizenship required).

  • Strong experience with the full software development lifecycle and associated tools.
  • Extensive experience developing modern, web-based user interfaces using frameworks such as Angular, Tailwind, and MapLibre.
  • At least 10 years of experience integrating web services using RESTful APIs and/or WebSockets.
  • At least 10 years of experience developing software on Linux systems.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization technologies (e.g., JWTs, OAuth).
  • Ability to break down large tasks into iterative, achievable efforts.
  • Strong understanding of development best practices, configuration management, and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and frameworks and adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, developing approaches and subtasks from general guidance.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with distributed software version control systems and continuous integration (e.g. Git, GitLab-Pipelines).
  • Experience with schema languages for describing data and services (e.g. JSON Schema, OpenAPI, Protocol Buffers).
  • Experience working with geospatial libraries such as Cesium, OpenLayers or MapLibre.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Strong proficiency with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience debugging distributed systems.
