Job description
- Design and operate scalable Azure cloud architectures for our product landscape
- Manage and evolve our Kubernetes environments (AKS), including cluster management, networking, and storage
- Build and maintain backup and disaster recovery services
- Ensure scalability, stability, and security standards across all cloud environments
Automation & IaC
- Infrastructure-as-Code with Pulumi, Terraform, and Bicep
- Automate deployments and operational tasks via scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for Kubernetes deployments
- CI/CD integration with Azure DevOps pipelines
Cloud-native data services
- Operate and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) in cloud-native environments
- Manage message brokers (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or similar)
- Design cloud networking: VPCs/VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, VPN
Monitoring & observability
- Build and run monitoring, logging, and observability solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights)
- Create dashboards and alerting concepts for production and staging
- Incident analysis and troubleshooting in distributed cloud environments, 1. CASABLANCA AI Toolkit: AI tools that handle the friction from pipeline automation to incident documentation, so you can own the architecture

Requirements
- Several years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably on Azure (AKS, Service Bus, Azure Monitor, App Services)
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS) - from image design to cluster administration
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi, Terraform, Bicep) and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Cloud networking know-how: VPCs/VNets, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, VPN
- Experience with cloud-native data services: PostgreSQL, MySQL, message brokers
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP as an additional cloud provider is a plus
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python) for automating operational tasks
- Analytical and solution-oriented thinking - you find a way, even when things get tricky
- Structured, self-driven approach with a genuine hands-on mentality
- Fluent in English and German at B2 level or above

*The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3104 per month (full-time, 38.5h/week). The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
