Software Engineer

Immediate need for a talented Software Engineer (.NET Core / C# / Azure). This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Brookfield, WI (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested., * Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services using C# and .NET Core.

• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and scalable software components.
• Develop efficient database solutions using SQL, including query optimization, data modeling, and performance improvements.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, including automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications using Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Utilize Visual Studio and modern development tools to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices, standards, and continuous improvements.

• Must have skills: C# & .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, REST API Development & Backend Engineering, SQL Server / Database Development, Azure Cloud, CI/CD & DevOps, Software Design Principles & Testing, Debugging, Troubleshooting & Production Support
• Strong professional experience with C#, .NET Core, and backend software development.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and distributed services.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, data structures, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and application deployments.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar DevOps automation tools.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and modern software development practices.
• Knowledge of software design principles, testing practices, and secure coding standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working in cloud-based enterprise environments.

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
