Job description

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our fast-growing e-commerce technology team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and microservices that power high-volume online shopping experiences. The role requires strong expertise in Python, cloud technologies, databases, and integrations with payment, inventory, and order management systems., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.

  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Develop features supporting e-commerce platforms such as product catalog, shopping cart, checkout, order management, inventory, and customer accounts.
  • Integrate third-party services including payment gateways, shipping providers, tax services, and ERP systems.
  • Optimize application performance for high-traffic environments.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers.
  • Develop database models and optimize SQL queries.
  • Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Monitor production systems and troubleshoot performance issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Python development experience.
  • Strong experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Redis or Memcached for caching.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong understanding of Git version control.
  • Experience with unit testing using PyTest or UnitTest.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
