Job description

  • Development and implementation of a university-wide strategy for electronic exams, including subject-specific, operational, and integration concepts
  • Project management and overall coordination of the introduction, piloting, and further development of electronic exams
  • Design and digitization of exam processes, taking into account legal, data protection, and organizational requirements
  • Management and coordination with all relevant stakeholders from teaching and administration
  • Overall responsibility for the technical implementation of exams in computer labs, using university-provided exam devices, and in a BYOD scenario
  • Development, operation, and further enhancement of a central e-exam platform, including integration into the existing system landscape
  • Design and implementation of complex interfaces (e.g., CMS-LMS, grade transfer, e-exam records)
  • Planning, execution, and quality assurance of tests and pilot phases, as well as analysis and resolution of technical issues

Requirements

  • A completed academic degree (university diploma or master's degree) in (media) computer science or a comparable qualification
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation and further development of web systems (e.g., PHP, REST, JSON) and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Detailed knowledge of the analysis, process modeling, and digitization of business and administrative processes
  • Knowledge of the design and implementation of IT architectures, interfaces, and system integrations
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as strong analytical skills
  • Very good German and good English skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation and further development of learning management and examination systems (e.g., Moodle) is desirable
