Senior Java Developer

Senior Java Developer (Fintech): Designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions for the Digital Euro initiative with an accent on API design, database performance, and security through cryptography and PKI.Focus on building robust Java (Java EE) applications using Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes in agile environments.Location: Hybrid role based in Barcelona/El Prat, Spain, with 3 days of remote work flexibility.Must be able to commute to the office.Company Giesecke+Devrient is an international technology group focused on integrated security technologies across Digital Security, Financial Platforms, and Currency Technology, making lives more secure globally for over 170 years.What you will do Lead development and implementation of TSM services for the Digital Euro project.Design and build robust Java (Java EE) applications using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.Build, deploy, and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.Ensure security through cryptography, PKI, and X.509 certificate management.Apply agile methodologies (Scrum), TDD, and security best practices (SAST, DAST).Support and collaborate with all team members to achieve project goals.Requirements University degree in computer science or similar.Extensive experience as a Java (Java EE) developer with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.Proficiency in relational (Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL (Mongo DB, Cassandra) databases, with Hibernate experience.Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for cloud-native deployments.Proven ability to design and implement API-first architectures (REST, Open API, g RPC).Deep understanding of cryptography, PKI, and X.509 certificates.Experience in agile teams (Scrum), TDD, and security testing (SAST, DAST).Familiarity with large-scale, high-availability enterprise systems.Fluent English (spoken and written).Nice to have Experience in financial services, payment systems, or digital currency projects.Culture & Benefits People-oriented environment with diverse nationalities and flat hierarchies.Opportunities for continuous training, coaching, and talent development.Flexible compensation (transport tickets, training, private insurance).Onsite canteen with breakfast and lunch service.Flexible working hours with option for remote work.#J-*****-Ljbffr
