DDIT ISC Enterprise Security Architecture - NetworkThe Associate Director, Enterprise Architect Network Security will contribute to the development of Network Security architectural standards, the direction and design of architecture for a business or technical domain, and the efforts to elaborate and communicate the architecture of the given domain and/or develop architectural solutions for projects and programs.Key responsibilities:Oversee Network security architectural activities for a specific business or technology domain, or architectural practice area, or manage the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within a business area.Define Network security standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain.Define and develop the logical architectural design and strategies necessary to secure the Organizations' network domain.Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution network security architecture design.Define, create and evolve the Architecture Governance Framework (e.g., architecture methods, practices and standards) for IT.Understand and advocate the principles of business and IT strategies, be prepared to sell the Architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication, marketing or educational activities needed to ensure Enterprise Architecture success and use.Assess the organization's network infrastructure and identify potential vulnerabilities or weaknesses.Evaluate and select security tools, technologies, and products to enhance network security.Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the network infrastructure.Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices to ensure the network security infrastructure remains effective.Provide guidance and support to other Engineering teams in implementing security measures and resolving security-related issues.Regularly report on the status of network security measures to senior management and stakeholders.Expertise in various network security products (e.g., NGFW, NAC, WAF, SDN, SASE, ZTNA, DDOS, Micro?segmentation, Network Data (LAN/WAN/WIRELESS)).Essential Requirements:University working and thinking level, degree in business/technical area or comparable education/experience.15+ years of working experience in Network Security domain; minimum 5 years in architecture capacity; 5+ years of Network Security project experience and leading teams.Demonstrated Network security architecture conceptual skills, solutions delivery, and decision making, incorporating sound security principles and emerging technologies to design and implement enterprise security solutions.Prior experience in Network security policy, standards, guidelines, and patterns definition.In?depth understanding of the network security domain including strong knowledge of: Network security domain expertise; sound knowledge of Network security products (SASE, Micro?Segmentation, NGFW, NAC, LAN security, WAN security, Defense?in?Depth).Risk identification mindset.Manage and lead strategic and technical initiatives to address network security vulnerabilities.Experience in reporting to and communicating with senior level management (with or without IT background) and without in?depth risk management background on information risk topics; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills.Proven experience to initiate and manage projects that will affect other divisions, departments, and functions, as well as the corporate environment.Experience working in a multi?vendor, global environment and leading technical teams.Self?motivated, delivery focused with keen attention to detail and good decision?making ability, functioning with or without supervision to deliver on time and at expected quality.Benefits & RewardsAt Novartis, we're committed to reimagining medicine together - and rewarding the people who make it happen.Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: €57, to €107,*The base salary offered is determined based on gender?neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis it will be reviewed periodically.In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance?based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.We also offer a variety of competitive benefits in kind to help you thrive personally and professionally, such as insurance plans, retirement plans, wellbeing resources and global recognition programs.
