Job description
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll work closely with Yusuf, our Senior DevOps and help build and maintain the cloud platform that makes this possible. You'll ensure our products are secure, reliable, and scalable, while giving our Tech and Product teams the tools they need to deliver new features quickly and confidently. You'll join a collaborative team where DevOps is all about enabling others. Working closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product teams, you'll improve the infrastructure, automation, and developer experience that sit behind our learning platform. Building and improving our AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Enhancing our CI/CD platform with reusable GitHub Actions workflows, and self-hosted runners making deployments faster and more reliable. Improving monitoring and observability using Grafana Cloud and OpenTelemetry. Developing in-house infrastructure modules that enable engineering teams to launch new services with ease. Supporting our growing AI and data capabilities by expanding our cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. Strengthening platform security through automation, identity management, and vulnerability scanning. Finding opportunities to automate repetitive processes and continuously improve the developer experience. This role offers plenty of ownership while giving you the opportunity to learn, grow, and help shape the platform that powers Lepaya's mission to transform workplace learning. Important information: We are not open to relocation. This role is based on a 28h employment contract, Contributed to improving and scaling our AWS infrastructure using Terraform. Helped optimize our CI/CD platform, enabling engineering teams to deploy with greater speed and confidence. Built or improved shared infrastructure modules that simplify how new services are deployed. Enhanced monitoring and alerting, giving teams better visibility into the health of our platform. Automated manual operational tasks, improving efficiency across our engineering teams. Worked closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver infrastructure that supports new products and features. Contributed to strengthening our security and cloud governance through automation and best practices. Establish yourself as a trusted partner for engineers, helping create a platform that is reliable, scalable, and easy to use. Requirements
Minimum, 3 years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering role. Hands-on experience working with AWS. Experience using Terraform Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools. Experience working with Docker and cloud native services such as ECS, Lambda, or Kubernetes. A good understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure best practices. Scripting skills in Bash or Python. Experience with TypeScript is a plus. A proactive mindset and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with software engineers across different teams. Nice to have Exposure to GCP alongside AWS. Experience supporting a data platform (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow/MWAA). FinOps experience: cost allocation, budgets. Experience with compliance automation or security tooling
