Job description

In this exciting role as a Senior Post Market Reliability Engineer, you will have responsibility for ensuring the safety and performance of Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management products. You will provide key technical expertise and leadership to monitor and maintain ongoing reliability of cardiac pacing therapy products, like pacemakers and defibrillators support our CRM business. In addition, you will be working directly with manufacturing sites across the world while supporting programs/projects associated with our CRM devices.

This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit. We are working on-site 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects., * Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and design of experiments (DOE) constructs.

  • Produces product/platform quality reports and communicates information across the business unit including upper-level management.
  • Completes risk analysis for complaint investigations, CAPA, etc.
  • Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
  • Develops detailed quality documentation, may need to support review of such documents during regulatory body audits.
  • May develop mathematical models to identify units, batches, or processes that require analysis or bounding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or math and minimum of 4 years of technical experience OR advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, or math with 2 years of technical experience, * Experience in medical device or medical software development or reliability, and experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis using statistical techniques and reliability tools.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with focus on complaint investigations, improved system performance outcomes, and positive business impact.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including demonstrated application of structured problem-solving methods and tools.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (timely, clear, concise, accurate, conclusive, influential, targeted to audience)

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$107,200.00 - $160,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
