Job description
Seeking a SalesForce business analyst / solution architect to support the SalesForce initiatives focused on enhancements, upgrades, and continuous delivery. The SalesForce Analyst will partner with business stakeholders and delivery teams (development, QA, PM/Scrum, and data/reporting) to elicit and document requirements, translate needs into actionable user stories, support testing/UAT, and ensure high-quality releases., Requirements & Analysis
- Lead requirements discovery through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
- Document current-state and future-state processes, pain points, and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into discernible and actionable proof of concept solutions, then work with the SalesForce development team to implement those.
- Support prioritization with stakeholders, helping define MVP vs. future scope.
Agile Delivery Support
- Maintain and refine backlog items in Jira (and document supporting detail in Confluence or similar).
- Partner with Scrum Master/PM to prepare for grooming/refinement and sprint planning.
- Clarify requirements quickly for developers/QA during delivery; manage requirement-related questions and changes.
Testing, UAT, and Release Readiness
- Support QA and UAT planning: define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and traceability from requirements to test coverage.
- Coordinate UAT sessions with business users; track outcomes, defects, and decisions.
- Validate deliverables against requirements and ensure stakeholder sign-off readiness for release.
Data / Reporting Collaboration (as applicable)
- Partner with data/reporting teams to define reporting requirements and validate results.
- Perform light-to-intermediate data validation using Excel and SQL (querying, reconciling, spot checks).
- Support dashboards or reporting needs .
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a bridge between business units and technology teams; communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
- Drive alignment across multiple teams when requirements span systems or integrations.
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone with strong prior experience with SalesForce including understanding business needs, converting those into actionable requirements, then being able to implement proof of concept solutions within SalesForce that meet the business goals., * 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (or closely related: systems analyst, product analyst) supporting application delivery.
- 5+ years of experience as a SalesForce solution designer or implementer.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira (writing/maintaining stories, workflows, boards) and comfort with documentation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to write high-quality:
- user stories & acceptance criteria
- process flows
- functional requirements / business rules
- Experience supporting UAT and working closely with QA/testing teams.
- Excellent communication skills (written + verbal) with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Financial services, lending, treasury, insurance, or regulated-industry experience.
- Experience supporting application modernization/migration initiatives.
- Ability to read/write basic SQL for validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with release-based enhancement cycles (multiple releases per year).
Deliverables / What "Good" Looks Like
- Requirements are clear enough that dev/QA can execute without rework.
- SalesForce solution proofs of concept match business intent.
- Backlog is groomed, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.
- UAT runs smoothly with minimal confusion; defects are actionable and traceable.
- Releases ship on schedule with strong stakeholder alignment and documented decisions.
