Job description
As Senior CPQ/CRM Salesforce Developer, you will lead hands-on Salesforce development and technical delivery across EXN's Salesforce Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud CPQ implementation.
This role combines senior development expertise with technical leadership, ensuring solutions are built to high standards, follow agreed engineering principles, and can be safely deployed, maintained and scaled across future releases. You will play a key role in building EXN's internal Salesforce technical capability and supporting the transition from partner-led delivery to EXN-owned platform delivery.
This role will report to the Senior Director, CPQ & Salesforce Transformation.
As the Senior CPQ/CRM Salesforce Developer, you will:
-
Deliver Salesforce development across Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud CPQ, using a configuration-first approach and applying custom code only where standard platform capabilities are not suitable.
-
Build scalable, secure and maintainable solutions supporting the Lead to Order journey, including quoting, approvals, pricing-related automation, data validation and ERP handoff.
-
Provide technical guidance to developers and administrators through design collaboration, code reviews, troubleshooting and Salesforce development best practice.
-
Support and help govern the Salesforce DevOps process, including source control, branching strategy, deployment discipline, environment promotion and release governance.
-
Work closely with the CPQ/CRM delivery partner to review technical outputs, understand implementation decisions and support knowledge transfer from R1 into future EXN-led releases.
-
Support integration, testing, defect resolution, go-live and hypercare activities across Salesforce, Revenue Cloud CPQ, ERP, MDM/PIM and Workflow Ingestion touchpoints.
Requirements
The ideal Senior CPQ/CRM Salesforce Developer:
-
Has 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including hands-on Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components and Salesforce configuration.
-
Has strong experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ or Revenue Cloud CPQ, with a good understanding of Lead to Order, pricing, approvals and downstream ERP processes.
-
Has experience with Salesforce Flows, validation rules, approval processes, permission sets, declarative automation, data modelling, sharing model and metadata dependencies.
-
Understands integration patterns including REST APIs, platform events, middleware and asynchronous processing.
-
Has experience with Azure DevOps or similar source control and CI/CD platforms, as well as Salesforce DevOps tools such as Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX or equivalent.
-
Is quality-driven, technically curious and collaborative, with the ability to guide other developers, improve engineering practices and take ownership of code quality, deployment safety and long-term maintainability.
