Job description
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an Android Developer on behalf of our client in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Cleveland, Phoenix, Birmingham, and Atlanta. This role is ideal for a highly experienced mobile developer who is passionate about building high-quality Android applications using modern development practices and technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable mobile solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Android applications. Build modern and responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose. Implement scalable application architectures leveraging MVVM and Clean Architecture principles. Integrate and consume RESTful APIs to support seamless application functionality. Utilize Android Jetpack libraries and Android SDK components to deliver robust solutions. Optimize application performance, reliability, and user experience. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA teams, and fellow developers. Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and software development methodologies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of professional experience in Android application development. Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java. Extensive experience with Android SDK and Android application lifecycle concepts. Hands-on experience developing user interfaces with Jetpack Compose. Strong understanding of Android Architecture Components and Jetpack libraries. Proven experience implementing MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats. Hands-on experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger. Proficiency with Git version control systems. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning expertise. Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience publishing and supporting applications on the Google Play Store. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Experience mentoring developers and contributing to mobile development best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
