Job description
In this role, you will support an Azure based disaster recovery (DR) cloud migration on an accelerated timeline. You will lead cloud first modernization initiatives while helping establish standardized patterns that support both cloud and on prem environments. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for Azure services, including networking components such as VNets, subnets, routing, DNS, identity, and security controls. You will support containerized workloads using AKS/Kubernetes and help shape, operate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. The role partners closely with application development, platform, and networking teams to build reusable modules, guardrails, monitoring, and steady state operational practices. Senior engineers are expected to pair with and mentor internal engineers to drive knowledge transfer and promote consistent cloud and DevOps practices across hybrid (on prem and Azure/AWS) environments.
Requirements

Active or very recent government security clearance (Public Trust, Secret, or higher)

5+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer

Azure architecture and solution design, with focus on Disaster Recovery (DR)

STIG baselining and security hardening in cloud environments

Experience in government cloud environments (e.g., Azure Gov)

Azure monitoring, metrics, and performance management

Landing zone design and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) implementation

Entra ID configuration, including SSO and conditional access policies

Scripting and automation using Bash, Python, YAML, and Terraform
