Mechancial Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design

and development of automated mobile heavy equipment and robotics systems that

improve safety and operational efficiency in demanding industrial environments.

This role will focus on mechanical design, CAD modeling, fabrication drawings,

and cross-functional engineering collaboration to support innovative automation

technologies. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate

about robotics, automation, and safety-critical systems.

What you will do at Sogeti:

• Createand manage CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for automatedequipment and robotic systems

• Developand maintain detailed fabrication drawings including GD&T, weldingsymbols, and sheet metal specifications

• Collaboratewith product owners and engineering teams to define system requirementsand support design integration activities

• ManageBills of Materials (BOMs), engineering revisions, and documentationupdates across multiple projects

• Supportprototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanicalcomponents and assemblies

• Workclosely with cross-functional teams to optimize designs formanufacturability, safety, and performance

• Providetechnical support for assembly documentation, maintenance guides, andcontinuous improvement initiatives

• 5+years of experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, automotive,automation, or related industries

• Proficiencywith CAD tools such as Onshape, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar modelingsoftware

• Experiencecreating mechanical drawings, assemblies, BOMs, and applying GD&Tprinciples

• Basicunderstanding of manufacturing methods, sheet metal design, weldingprocesses, and mechanical systems

• Strongcommunication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively acrossengineering and product teams

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical

Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $70,000 - $135,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
