Job description

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for establishing and managing development, testing, staging, and production environments, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliable operation of public-facing web applications. This role involves implementing infrastructure as code, managing Drupal deployment processes, and maintaining security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery procedures to support stable and secure website operations. Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain development, testing, staging, and production environments.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, configuration, and releases.
  • Implement infrastructure as code where applicable.
  • Manage Drupal deployment and configuration processes.
  • Configure monitoring, logging, alerts, backups, and disaster recovery systems.
  • Support security patching and secrets management.
  • Coordinate production releases and maintain rollback procedures.
  • Provide go-live and stabilization support for deployments., * Must support high availability and security controls for public-facing CMS environments.
  • Responsible for maintaining rollback and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide on-call or go-live support during production releases and stabilization phases.

Scheduling:

  • Work schedule may include support during production releases and stabilization periods, potentially requiring flexible hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or web infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting Drupal or comparable enterprise CMS hosting.
  • Proficiency in designing CI/CD pipelines for public-facing web applications.
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (where applicable), infrastructure as code, web servers, CDN, DNS, SSL/TLS, and secrets management.
  • Skills in monitoring, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and release automation.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
  • Acquia Certified Drupal Cloud Pro or equivalent cloud/DevOps certifications.
  • Experience with aviation platform development and deployment within the last three years.
