Job description
We are looking for an experienced UI Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join our digital experience team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces and reusable AEM components that power our web properties., * Develop and maintain AEM components, templates, and client libraries using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Build responsive, cross-browser compatible UIs following modern front-end best practices
- Work with Sightly/HTL (HTML Template Language) to bind front-end markup to AEM back-end data
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into pixel-perfect, functional components
- Customize and extend AEM''s Touch UI / Classic UI dialogs, widgets, and authoring experience
- Integrate front-end code with AEM''s Sling framework and back-end Java/OSGi services
- Optimize page performance, load times, and Core Web Vitals
- Implement and maintain design systems / component libraries within AEM
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD deployment processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects across authoring and publish environments
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG/ADA) compliance across all developed components
- Collaborate with backend AEM developers, QA, and content authors in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Strong UI/front-end development experience
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x)
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SASS/LESS, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery
- Experience with AEM component development, Sightly (HTL), and client library management
- Experience with responsive/mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with front-end build tools (Webpack, Gulp, npm/yarn)
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Strong debugging skills using browser dev tools
Benefits & conditions
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, NJ is $$80K to $85K per annum & benefits (see below)., * A highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
