Job description
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Java and Spring Boot services, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Build and enhance web and mobile user interfaces using Angular and/or React, with React Native preferred.
- Implement integration workflows for healthcare data exchange including HL7 and FHIR.
- Develop and maintain interfaces using tools such as Mirth Connect.
- Create and optimize SQL queries and schemas for relational databases.
- Containerize and run applications using Docker and Tomcat where appropriate.
- Own features from requirements through production support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, QA, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify needs and validate solutions.
- Document designs, APIs, and operational procedures following best practices.
- Participate in issue tracking and sprint activities using Jira or similar tools.
Requirements

- Expertise in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and web application development.
- Front-end experience with Angular and/or React; React Native preferred.
- Strong SQL skills and relational database experience.
- Experience with Tomcat and Docker.
- Healthcare interoperability experience with HL7 and FHIR, including data exchange.
- Integration experience with Mirth Connect and healthcare data transformation.
- Background integrating with insurance, financial, laboratory, and clinical systems; familiarity with Quest and Labcorp interfaces preferred.
- Nice to have: medical device integrations and knowledge of ASTM protocols and device communication standards.
- Proven troubleshooting ability and independent problem-solving in production environments.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote setting.
- Understanding of SDLC, unit testing, documentation, and collaboration with QA.
- Cloud exposure is a plus; DevOps/cloud handled by dedicated teams.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
