Responsibilities:
What you get to do every day:
Designs, defines and maintains the DevSecOps architecture for new and existing software applications and systems. Has the ability to both write clean, working code and has commanding knoweldge of traditional operations tasks. Coordinates system development with software developers to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing. Manages and documents system configurations. Assists with deployment of new product features.
Job Duties:
- Configure CI/CD for multiple web applications
- Take source code, dependencies to perform application builds
- Perform automated testing and security scans
- Deploy to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations)
- Create and maintain multiple environments across multiple security enclaves (low to high development)
- Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configurations management
- Author helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift platforms
- Manage and document system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system architecture to demonstrate security compliance
Requirements
Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly
Education/Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree
- 5-8+ years of experience, * Proficiency with Linux operating systems
- Ability to manage networking for web applications by understanding PCP/IP and DNS
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWS
- Experience creating and modifying Helm charts and configuring deployments to multi-environments (e.g. dev, stage, prod) across multiple security domains
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloud formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc)
- Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab C/D pipelines (knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar will be considered)
- Knowledge of containerization, monitoring & logging and network & security
- Experience monitoring and updating tokens
- Comfortable using Python and BASH to create systems tooling
- Ability to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositories
- Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases
What is ideal?
- Experience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applications
- Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment
- Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques
- Technical certification - Network+, Security+, Oracle or specializing in Software Development or Cloud Computing
- Experience in System Engineering and project/program management
- Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (including NGA CORE tools; ie Wormhole)

Benefits & conditions
- The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is:$138,000-$159,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
