Job description
We are seeking a Senior Android Mobile Engineer to support two highly visible mobile applications within the pharmaceutical and healthcare digital ecosystem: a healthcare commercialization application and a specialty pharmacy application.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and enhancing core mobile functionality that drives customer engagement and digital experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who can work independently, take ownership of features, and deliver high-quality code with minimal guidance.
The team is looking for experienced engineers who enjoy being heads-down in development, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing directly to the evolution of large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Build and enhance core functionality for the mobile applications.

Support features within the commercialization platform, including:
o Navigation experiences
o Search functionality
o User adoption and engagement features
o Push notifications and customer communications

Support features within the specialty pharmacy application, including ownership of core business functionality outside of pharmacy and authentication experiences.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver scalable mobile solutions.

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and software design decisions.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application performance and reliability.

Contribute to the ongoing modernization of mobile application architecture and development practices.
Requirements

5+ years of professional Android development experience with deep expertise using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Strong ownership mentality with the ability to independently drive features from design through release, understanding the full software development lifecycle beyond just coding.

Experience integrating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and collaborating across multiple teams to deliver complex functionality within large-scale applications.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD and release processes, including tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, App Store Connect, automated testing, and unit testing.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with proven experience partnering with Product, Design, Analytics, Accessibility, and Engineering teams in a highly visible environment.

Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance optimization, and best practices. * Experience working on large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.

Familiarity with push notification frameworks and mobile engagement features.

Experience with modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.

Experience within healthcare, pharmacy, or other regulated industries.
