Job description
- You maintain technical ownership of our hybrid Charge Point Management System (CPMS), acting as the technical partner to the Solution Owner and shaping architectural work and technical improvements to ensure alignment between technical direction, operational realities, and business goals
- You work on architecture planning at the CPMS system level, spanning all system components and ensuring alignment with target-state architecture and enterprise architecture standards
- You design, guide, and implement system integrations with internal and third-party platforms, ensuring interoperability, resilience, protocol compliance, and adherence to industry standards
- You establish the foundation for the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by defining architectural guardrails, standards, and best practices that enable efficient development and reliable delivery
- You ensure technical delivery meets both functional and non-functional requirements by guiding planning activities, conducting architectural and design reviews, and validating implementation quality
- You partner with DevOps Engineers to advance operational excellence, contributing to reliability engineering, observability strategies, incident response processes, and capacity planning, while participating in on-call rotations during regular working hours
- You provide clarity in technical coordination and decision-making by translating architecture concepts, trade-offs, and technical requirements into recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- You foster shared understanding through architectural documentation, technical alignment sessions, and knowledge sharing across functional and cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Architecture experience: More than 7 years of professional experience in technical roles, including at least 3 years as an IT Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Technical Lead in integration-heavy environments, with ownership of architectural decisions throughout their lifecycle
- Collaboration competence: Proven ability to work closely with Product Owners, DevOps Engineers, business stakeholders, and enterprise stakeholders while clearly communicating architectural reasoning and technical decisions
- Architectural and cloud-native expertise: Strong practical knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), multi-tenancy patterns, API-first design, AWS cloud-native architectures, and advanced cloud architecture patterns
- Technology stack: Hands-on knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js, and React.js, with the ability to guide technical decisions and evaluate implementations. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform is required
- Operations know-how: Advanced experience with technical operations, reliability, observability, SLA/SLO management, incident response, and reducing operational effort through architecture. Willingness to participate in on-call rotations is expected
- E-mobility ecosystem: Familiarity with the e-mobility industry and knowledge of industry protocols such as OCPP, OCPI, and/or OICP is a strong advantage
- Certifications: Certification in iSAQB or TOGAF architecture frameworks is considered an advantage
- Language proficiency: Professional-level fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is required (at least B2 level)
- You think and act with the customers' perspective in mind and want to enhance their experience with us
