Job description

As a Network Engineer, you'll help build, support, and automate enterprise network infrastructure using modern networking technologies, Python, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You'll work alongside cloud, security, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable network services while gaining hands-on experience in a large-scale enterprise environment., * Develop Python scripts and AI-assisted automation to reduce manual tasks, improve reliability, and streamline operations.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise large-scale network environments using enterprise monitoring and observability tools.
  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and engineering teams to deliver resilient, secure, and highly available network services.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, network automation, AI-powered tools, and software-defined networking within a global banking environment.

Requirements

  • Degree: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related STEM field (minimum 2:1).
  • Passion: Strong interest in Financial Markets and technology.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., Java, Python, C++, C).
  • Exposure to Network administration and security
  • Solid SQL database knowledge (e.g., Sybase, DB2, Oracle) for writing queries and analyzing logs.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging applications.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Eligibility: Authorization to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available).
