Working alongside engineers, architects and DevSecOps specialists, you'll ensure infrastructure is thoroughly tested, validated and ready for deployment into highly secure production environments. What You'll Be Doing
As a QA Test Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in assuring the quality of infrastructure and platforms throughout the delivery life cycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating infrastructure-focused test strategies and plans
- Designing and executing functional, integration, regression, resilience and security testing
- Validating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments and physical infrastructure
- Provisioning and verifying test environments alongside DevSecOps teams
- Identifying risks, maintaining traceability and supporting governance activities
- Contributing to security assurance, compliance and accreditation activities
- Ensuring solutions are production-ready through robust automated and manual testing processes.
Requirements
You'll have experience across infrastructure testing within secure or highly regulated environments and bring knowledge in areas such as: Infrastructure & Networking
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs and Firewalls
- Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
- Physical infrastructure including Routers, Switches and cabling
- Virtualisation platforms such as VMware
- Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP
Infrastructure as Code
- Terraform
- Ansible
- Kubernetes
CI/CD & Automation
- Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Infrastructure validation within automated pipelines
- Environment orchestration and automated readiness testing
Security
- Secure-by-Design principles
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Operating system hardening
- Network segmentation
- Experience supporting compliance, assurance or accreditation within regulated environments
