Job description

  • Managing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, Cisco networking, Meraki wireless environments, and core network services.
  • Supporting and administering VMware vSphere environments and enterprise server hardware.
  • Taking ownership of infrastructure patching and ensuring systems remain secure and compliant.
  • Monitoring infrastructure performance using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively resolving issues.
  • Managing storage, backups, and data protection solutions.
  • Supporting infrastructure migration, modernisation, and decommissioning projects.
  • Acting as a 3rd line escalation point for complex server, network, and hardware issues.
  • Working with vendors and third-party partners to resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
  • Supporting cybersecurity initiatives, compliance requirements, and remediation activities.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Infrastructure Analyst, Infrastructure Engineer, or 3rd Line Support role.
  • Strong Cisco networking knowledge, including switching, VLANs, routing, STP, and LACP.
  • Experience administering VMware vSphere environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise server hardware, ideally HP ProLiant environments.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • PowerShell scripting skills would be advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to infrastructure management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
