Operate and sustain the on-going daily operational use of VMware infrastructure including updating,testingand deploying the vSphere and vCenter product releases. This includesidentifyingand reporting concerns or issuesencounteredduring installation,testingand deployment of new software releases.

Manage and administer physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows and Linux servers

Support and management of server virtualization, server provisioning, physical server maintenance, securitycomplianceand daily operations

Manage VMware vSphere, with emphasis on automation, and enterprise storage and backup system administration,installationand on-going maintenance experience.

Maintain server lifecycle - provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of the hardware

Maintain the virtualized server environment via configuration, implementation,managementand support activities
-
Monitor the virtual server infrastructure environment's health status, service performance, andutilization
-
Implement andmaintaincontinuous compliance to information security policies and technical standards,reportingand remediation of non-compliances

Maintain the security baseline compliance via configuration, implementation, and remediation activities
-
Troubleshoot,maintainintegrityand configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Integratenew technologiesinto new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems

Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions

Provides installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies

Oversee the Installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures

Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach.

Reviews customer requirements and makes recommendations for changes to existing technical architecture.

Complies withprescribed customer,industryand agency standards.

Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations,monitoringand problem resolution forall ofthe client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. support, administer and maintenance of enterprise data center systemscomprisedof both physical and virtual servers, storage, backups,monitoringand automation

Experience:
8 + years of related experience, + Required Education and Experience: BA/BS + 8 years

Certifications: DoD Manual 8570.01-M at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II role

Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESx/Xen Hypervisors, ,Scripting, BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension,Bitlocker, SQL Server 2012, Microsoft IIS, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Win 10, Red Hat 6.5, Microsoft Office

Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts

Experience with SAN,NASand iSCSI storage implementations

Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments

Experience in performance tuning andoptimizingstorage and backup environments

Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies

Experience with design, development,implementationand maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
Benefits & conditions
The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
