Job description

Insight Global is seeking a network lead for a university in Denton, TX. This individual will serve as the top technical authority for the network and unified communications environment, supporting LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice services across multiple campuses. The role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure network architectures, driving long-term strategy, and proactively improving performance and reliability. This person will partner with leadership to plan capacity, establish standards, and guide technical direction, while also overseeing large-scale infrastructure projects (including new construction), managing timelines, coordinating resources, and working with vendors. Additionally, they will act as the highest point of escalation for complex issues, stay current on industry trends, and provide mentorship to Network Engineers. This position requires 5 days a week onsite in Denton, TX.

Requirements

5+ years-experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network environments -Designing and supporting LAN, WAN, wireless, routing, switching, and firewalls -Experience with network capacity planning and scaling infrastructure -Implementing network security and firewall configurations -Experience managing DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs -Experience diagnosing and resolving complex network issues -Analyzing network performance and improving stability and reliability -Experience troubleshooting critical network problems across infrastructure layers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) -Experience with infrastructure automation through scripting or programming -Higher education experience
