Job description
The Database Administrator installs, configures, and maintains database instances and associated tools. They perform performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security administration for databases across multiple environments. They collaborate with developers and analysts on schema design, queries, and data integration. They also help design and implement data archival, replication, and continuity strategies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience administering relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Strong skills in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations
- Active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with large, transactional web applications and high-volume user bases
- Familiarity with data modeling and ETL or reporting tools
