- Translate functional requirements into solution architecture and detailed design documents.
- Design, develop, and deploy RESTful and SOAP APIs using Java Spring Boot and MuleSoft.
- Develop front-end features for ERDP applications using Angular in coordination with backend services.
- Assess technology options, evaluate impact, and ensure technical and operational feasibility.
- Implement data integrations with Oracle and related data stores; support ETL workflows.
- Leverage CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins for reliable builds and deployments.
- Apply security protocols including OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS across integrations and applications.
- Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze integration requirements and refine user stories.
- Coordinate with a distributed scrum team and provide regular task status updates to management.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our Environmental Risk Data Platform (ERDP) team. The role will focus on front-end capability for Client Transition Plan Assessment and Climate Data Capture applications within an enterprise platform for environmental and climate risk data. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java Spring Boot, Angular, MuleSoft, and REST/SOAP API design, and a proven ability to translate functional requirements into scalable solution architectures and deliver secure, reliable integrations., * Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend services and API development.
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft for API design, orchestration, and integration.
- Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP, XML, JSON, and scripting languages.
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases, including query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as Jenkins and related automation.
- Understanding of security protocols including OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a distributed team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with client-facing experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Informatica for ETL development and data integration.
- Experience with Autosys job scheduling for batch and data workflows.
- Background in climate or environmental risk data domains.
Team & Collaboration
Regular points of contact will include a Feature Lead managing an 8-12 person scrum team. The role will involve client interactions.
