Job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Manager to support the delivery of technology services across the JPECCS contract in Scotland. This role is critical in ensuring IT services are aligned to front-line operational needs across courts, custody suites, and escorting bases. Acting as the key interface between operational teams and IT, you will ensure technology solutions are effective, secure, and enable safe and efficient service delivery. You will work closely with stakeholders including SPS, operational teams, and suppliers, while travelling across locations to maintain strong visibility and relationships.

Main Duties *

  • Act as the primary link between operational teams and IT, ensuring IT services meet contract and operational requirements
  • Lead the delivery of site-based IT solutions, managing projects end-to-end
  • Oversee IT service delivery, incidents, and project activity in line with service levels and priorities
  • Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain IT project plans, providing structured updates and governance reporting
  • Engage key stakeholders to understand requirements and proactively identify future IT needs
  • Travel across operational sites to ensure alignment with front-line delivery
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and contractual requirements
  • Identify and manage IT risks, escalating issues where necessary
  • Support operational processes such as starters/leavers, supplier access, and system usage
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT services, performance, and user experience

Requirements

  • We are looking for a proactive, organised, and collaborative individual who can deliver high-quality IT services in a complex operational environment., + Strong experience in IT service delivery, operations, or infrastructure management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders

  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and driving performance

  • Strong understanding of information security, compliance, and governance requirements

  • Ability to translate operational needs into practical IT solutions

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders

  • Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills
