Job description
The Management Information System Officer is a full-time role based in Liverpool with a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site and work-from-home duties. The role involves managing and maintaining key information systems to support reporting, compliance, and performance monitoring across training programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, validating, and updating learner and course data; producing regular management information reports and dashboards; and analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
The officer will collaborate with operational and academic teams to ensure accurate data entry, streamline information flows, and support effective decision-making. Additional tasks include troubleshooting data issues, helping implement system improvements, and ensuring data security and compliance with internal policies and external regulations., + Promote the Innovative Alliance brand in line with the company's vision, mission, and principles
- Work with internal and external colleagues to ensure a professional level of service is delivered
- Support teams during staff CPD days, meetings and briefings sessions

- Any other duties commensurate with the grade of post as required All staff will be expected to carry out such other relevant and appropriate duties within the framework of a post of this grade that may from time to time be required at a location determined by the needs of the service.
Requirements
- Have a strong understanding of Information Systems and Management Information Systems (MIS), including experience working with databases or reporting tools.
- Be proficiency in Data Management and Information Management, with the ability to organize, maintain, and retrieve accurate learner and organizational data.
- Demonstrate Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and present findings clearly
- Be competence in using office and data analysis software (e.g., spreadsheets, reporting platforms, CRM or MIS systems).
- Have excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Have effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and support colleagues in using information systems correctly.
- Benefit from experience in an education, training, or not-for-profit environment.
- Have relevant experience in information systems, data management, business administration, or a related field.
- Be required at times to attend and contribute to relevant meetings and training sessions, including minute taking when required
- Ensure resource stocks are maintained to appropriate levels and liaise with all teams to plan and fulfil needs for all planned courses
- Provide support and feedback on, funded and commercial provision including but not limited to, ASF, FCFJ, Apprenticeships, Commercial Clients, Bootcamps with a good working knowledge of all funding stream rules Essential Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:
