Job description
We are seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead its technology strategy, operations, security, and business systems environment. This individual will serve as the senior technology partner to company leadership and ensure IT investments support growth, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making.
The Director will oversee core applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and technology projects while leading the organization's adoption of automation and artificial intelligence. This is a hands-on leadership position managing one internal systems professional and several outside technology partners., * Technology Strategy and Leadership
- Business Systems and Process Improvement
- Manage the full lifecycle of the company's primary business applications
- Lead software evaluations, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and optimization efforts
- Improve connectivity and data flow across CRM, ERP, financial, and operational platforms
- Partner with business teams to streamline processes and reduce manual work
- Develop a practical roadmap for adopting automation and AI across the organization
- Establish the technical foundation and governance required to scale AI responsibly
- Infrastructure and IT Operations
- Maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable technology environment
- Oversee cloud platforms, on-premises systems, networks, devices, and end-user support
- Provide leadership, direction, and prioritization to the Systems Administrator
- Information Security and Risk
- Vendor, Financial, and Project Management
Requirements
- 7-10 years of progressive IT experience, including responsibility for IT operations, business systems, infrastructure, and security
- Previous experience leading an IT function, team, or major technology portfolio
- Demonstrated success implementing automation, AI, or process-improvement solutions in a business environment
- Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, integrating, and improving enterprise applications
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, identity and access management, and server environments
- Working knowledge of both cloud-based and on-premises technology
- Experience supporting CRM, ERP, financial, or other business-critical platforms
- Strong understanding of networks, firewalls, VPNs, switches, endpoints, and related infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity practices, controls, risk management, and audit readiness
- Experience managing managed service providers and other third-party technology vendors
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, vendor negotiations, and competing priorities
- Familiarity with IT service-management practices, including ITIL
- Experience with formal project-management tools and methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical teams
Preferred Credentials
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or a comparable technical or security certification
- Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 certifications
- ITIL or project-management certification
