Job description
The Temporary Digital Initiatives Center Assistant supports the FIU Law Library's digital collections, web presence, and public service operations. This position assists with the digitization and preservation of library materials, including scanning, image editing, metadata creation, and uploading content to the institutional repository. The role also contributes to web content enhancement, search engine optimization, graphic design projects, and library events. Additionally, the assistant provides customer service support at public service desks and assists with special programs and activities as needed
Requirements
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) Familiarity with digital imaging, scanning, photography, and OCR software Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Word, and Excel Experience with WordPress, content management systems, or digital repository platforms Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage detailed digital content and metadata accurately, High school diploma or GED.
