Job description
Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, the Enterprise Applications Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, governance, performance, and continuous improvement of MonkeySports' enterprise applications portfolio.
This leadership role owns the application roadmap, oversees enterprise integrations, manages vendor relationships, and partners with business leaders across Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Retail, Customer Service, and eCommerce to ensure technology supports business growth.
This is more than a systems administration role-it's an opportunity to lead business transformation through technology while building scalable processes and developing a high-performing applications team.
What You'll Do
Lead the Enterprise Applications Team
· Manage, mentor, and develop a team of enterprise application administrators.
· Establish team priorities, goals, and performance expectations.
· Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members as the organization grows.
· Promote best practices in documentation, change management, security, and application governance.
· Serve as the escalation point for complex application and integration issues.
Own the Enterprise Applications Portfolio
Provide strategic oversight for the company's business applications, including:
· NetSuite ERP
· Shopify
· NewStore POS
· Zendesk
· Avalara
· VersaPay
· Connected warehouse, banking, payment, and integration platforms
Drive Business Process Improvement
Partner with leaders across the organization to:
· Analyze business processes
· Identify automation opportunities
· Reduce manual work
· Improve operational efficiency
· Standardize workflows across departments
· Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions
Manage Application Roadmaps
· Develop and maintain platform roadmaps.
· Prioritize enhancements based on business value.
· Evaluate new technologies and SaaS capabilities.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure applications continue to scale with company growth.
Manage Vendors & Strategic Partners
· Serve as the primary relationship manager for software vendors and implementation partners.
· Coordinate enhancements, projects, and issue resolution.
· Review partner deliverables for quality and accuracy.
· Participate in contract renewals, licensing discussions, and project planning.
Oversee Integrations & Data Governance
Ensure reliable data movement across enterprise systems by:
· Monitoring integrations
· Coordinating issue resolution
· Maintaining master data quality
· Supporting reconciliation processes
· Establishing enterprise data governance standards
Reporting & Analytics
Partner with Finance and Operations to deliver:
· Executive dashboards
· KPIs
· Operational reporting
· Business intelligence
· Automated reporting solutions
Support leadership with accurate, meaningful data for business decision-making., · Occasional evening or weekend support for system upgrades or critical production issues.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 5+ years of experience managing or supporting enterprise SaaS applications.
· Experience leading enterprise application portfolios.
· Experience managing technical teams or application administrators.
· Strong understanding of ERP, finance, inventory, supply chain, purchasing, customer service, and order management processes.
· Experience managing software vendors and implementation partners.
· Experience leading software implementations, integrations, or business process improvement initiatives.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with; NetSuite ERP, Shopify, NewStore POS, Zendesk, Avalara or VersaPay, Korber WMS or comparable warehouse systems, REST APIs or integration platforms (iPaaS).
· Knowledge of SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, or similar workflow and automation tools.
· Retail, eCommerce, distribution, or omnichannel industry experience.
· Experience leading enterprise data governance initiatives.
· Relevant platform certifications., * Bachelor's (Preferred)
