Job description
- Repair Chromebooks, netbooks, PCs, and laptops for K-12 school district clients under Central's ADP contract
- Keep accurate, organized ticket records for every repair
- Complete installations of projects on time and within budget based on customer consultation and expectations
- Use approved industry standards and techniques to ensure proper system function with installed equipment
- Create documentation; analyze, modify, and test each system to ensure proper function
- Maintain and deploy user-specific system images
- Confirm installed systems and programs are tested and working properly
- Help maintain the company vehicle and keep up with scheduled maintenance
- Help maintain inventory for assigned projects
- Assist with warehouse maintenance, shipments, deliveries, staging, loading, and unloading as needed
- Keep a neat, clean work area and equipment
- Be willing to adapt to job schedules and tasks
- Be able to work odd hours if needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer repair and diagnostic knowledge, with a focus on Chromebooks, netbooks, PCs, and laptops
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Comfortable providing onsite support for customer issues
- Comfortable working in unusual positions, such as underneath desks and climbing ladders
- Familiar with basic hand tools and power tools
- Able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs
Eligibility Requirements
- Must pass a background check
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Smoke-free workplace
Desired Characteristics
- Projector, tablet, and phone screen repair experience
- Security and surveillance installation experience
- Printer repair experience
- Low-voltage cable installation experience
- Experience installing conduit and boxes, and pulling wire
- A+ certification or higher
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work with others on team projects
- Excellent time management
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Superior phone skills; excellent verbal and written communication
- Career-oriented and professional
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
Computer hardware: 1 year preferred, * Driver's License (Required)
