Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Computer Science Instructor to teach our Comprehensive Computer Science Education (CCSE) program for kids and teens (ages 9-14). This program introduces students to the world of technology - from programming and robotics to game design, 3D modeling, and web development. If you love working with kids, enjoy technology, and want to make an impact on the next generation of innovators, this role is for you!
Program Details In our CCSE program, students explore:
- Programming - from block-based languages to Python, Lua, C#, and Java
- Game Development - creating games using Unity, Construct 3, and Unreal Engine 5
- 3D Modeling & Printing - designing and printing 3D models and VR worlds
- Web Development - learning HTML/CSS and website creation basics
- Robotics - building and coding robots through real hands-on projects
- Digital Creativity - editing images, sound, and video using Adobe tools
Students learn real computer science principles while developing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Every topic includes practical labs, final projects, and presentations., * Teach engaging, hands-on computer science classes using the provided curriculum and materials
- Support students through coding, robotics, and design projects
- Encourage creativity and teamwork during lessons
- Provide feedback and track student progress
- Maintain a positive and inspiring classroom environment
- Collaborate with the STEP teaching team to improve lesson delivery
Requirements
- Passion for technology, education, and working with kids
- Knowledge of programming (Python, Lua, or C# preferred)
- Experience with robotics, Unity, or 3D modeling is a plus
- Teaching, mentoring, or tutoring experience is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
Benefits & conditions
$20-$40/hour, depending on experience
