Job description
- Installing, configuring, and supporting servers, networks, and IT infrastructure for a variety of client environments
- Helping clients improve security and overall system performance by following industry best practices
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues across Windows servers, networking, workstations, and VoIP systems
- Working on a mix of project work and day-to-day support
- Traveling to client sites as needed (typically within about a 2-hour radius of Central Connecticut)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a systems, network, or infrastructure engineering role
- Strong experience with Windows Server (2025 and older), Hyper-V, VMware, and Microsoft 365
- Solid understanding of Azure, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft cloud technologies
- Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services
- Strong networking knowledge, including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, QoS, VPNs, and VoIP
- Experience configuring and supporting firewalls and security appliances
- Familiarity with security tools like EDR, MDR, MFA, and endpoint protection solutions
- Comfortable supporting Windows desktop operating systems and end users
