  • Building scalable Node.js microservices in a cloud environment

  • Supporting platform modernization efforts through containerization and cloud technologies

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, promises, and the Node.js event loop
  • Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications
  • Knowledge of software testing practices including unit and integration testing
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with AWS services, including Lambda
  • Exposure to microservices architecture
  • Experience with React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
  • Experience supporting production applications in a cloud environment, * Backend-focused developer with a passion for Node.js and API development
  • Comfortable working within distributed systems and modern web architectures
  • Motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to innovative solutions
  • Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges

Benefits & conditions

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
