This developer will contribute to the creation of backend microservices, integrations, and APIs that power critical business functions across the platform.
Key initiatives include:
- Building scalable Node.js microservices in a cloud environment
- Expanding API functionality across multiple applications and services
- Supporting platform modernization efforts through containerization and cloud technologies
- Enhancing application performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Contributing to CI/CD and automated testing practices

Requirements
- 1-3+ years of professional software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Node.js
- Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs
- Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, promises, and the Node.js event loop
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications
- Knowledge of software testing practices including unit and integration testing
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS services, including Lambda
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
- Experience supporting production applications in a cloud environment, * Backend-focused developer with a passion for Node.js and API development
- Comfortable working within distributed systems and modern web architectures
- Motivated to learn new technologies and contribute to innovative solutions
- Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges
- Passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, NE. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
