Key Responsibilities:Lead the maintenance and optimization of our AWS data infrastructure, focusing on proactive improvements and regular maintenanceManage database platforms including Aurora PostgreSQL and MySQL, performing upgrades, rehydrations, and performance tuningImplement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for consistent and repeatable deploymentsConfigure and manage AWS data services including DMS and GlueDesign and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform health and performanceDevelop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiencySpearhead cloud cost optimization initiatives and implement FinOps best practices for our data platformCollaborate with internal teams including data engineers, analysts, and scientists to understand their platform needsParticipate in on-call rotation to support critical platform issues when they ariseDocument platform architecture, operations procedures, and best practicesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members #LI-PG1#LI-Onsite

Qualifications:Required:5+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure with a focus on data servicesStrong hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQLExperience with infrastructure as code, specifically TerraformKnowledge of AWS data services including DMS, Glue, and RDS/AuroraSolid understanding of database administration, including performance tuning and troubleshootingExperience with cloud cost management and FinOps practicesProficiency with Linux/Unix systems and shell scriptingExperience with monitoring tools and implementing observability solutionsUnderstanding of network security principles and best practices in cloud environments Preferred:AWS certifications (Data Engineer, Solutions Architect)Experience with database replication and high availability configurationsKnowledge of data modeling and schema designExperience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity
