Job description

You will work alongside senior engineers and architects to help build and maintain data pipelines, contribute to modern Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), and learn best practices in cloud data engineering, governance, and analytics delivery., * Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines into BigQuery using tools such as Fivetran and Python

  • Support development of bronze, silver, and gold data layers for analytics use cases
  • Contribute to data transformations using dbt (training provided if needed)
  • Work with senior engineers to understand orchestration and scheduling concepts

Data Quality & Reliability

  • Help implement basic data validation and data quality checks
  • Support monitoring of pipelines and troubleshooting data issues
  • Learn best practices for logging, testing, and error handling

Platform & Engineering Practices

  • Contribute to version-controlled development using GitHub
  • Assist in documenting data pipelines, transformations, and data models
  • Learn CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (Terraform exposure)

Governance & Collaboration

  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Support data classification, lineage, and governance initiatives
  • Participate in Data Champions and domain-based data ownership practices, * Building scalable data pipelines in a modern cloud platform (GCP / BigQuery)
  • Data modeling and Medallion architecture design
  • dbt-based transformation and analytics engineering
  • Data quality frameworks and observability
  • Data governance, classification, and secure access controls
  • Real-world enterprise data platform delivery
  • SQL
  • Python (or similar language)
  • Basic data modeling / analytics concepts

Requirements

This is an entry-level role, ideal for a recent graduate (preferably Georgia Tech or similar program) with a strong foundation in data, software engineering, or analytics, and a passion for building scalable data solutions., * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

  • Strong academic foundation in:

  • SQL

  • Python or similar programming language

  • Data structures and problem-solving

  • Internship, coursework, or project experience in data engineering, analytics, or cloud platforms

  • Willingness to learn modern data tools and cloud technologies

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

  • Familiarity with:

  • BigQuery or relational databases

  • dbt or data transformation tools

  • APIs and data ingestion concepts

  • Experience with Git or version control

  • Academic or personal projects involving data pipelines or analytics
