Job description
We're looking for two mid-to-senior developers to join the Product team at Mediagenix Spain. These arefully remote positions, butlimited to candidates based in Spain.The team builds and maintains a suite of tools that help video-on-demand platforms (like streaming services and TV networks) plan, organize, and publish their programming. Think of it as the editorial calendar behind what viewers see on screen.Your challengeAs a Software Engineer, you join across-functional squadmade up of 3-4 backend developers, a frontend developer, and an engineering manager. Together with the product manager and a team of designers, you work on delivering new features, fixing bugs, and keeping our application reliable and up to date.Some challenges you might work on:Implementing a newfilterin our Elasticsearch-powered search UI.Enhancing parts of ouruser interfaceusing modern JavaScript (or frameworks like Stimulus or Vue).Breaking down a major feature into smaller, manageable tasks, with proper documentation and time estimates.Investigating and resolvingperformance issuesin our Sidekiq workers.Writing clear, developer-friendlydocumentationfor a new REST API endpoint.You won't be doing this alone, we're acollaborative teamthat values ownership, quality, and learning.Your interests and skillsYou have solid experiencebuilding digital products: websites, platforms, or apps.You're comfortable with (or curious about) our stack:Ruby on Rails, Elasticsearch, MySQL,Vue.js, Hotwire... No real experience on this stack is needed!You believe in writingtestsand understand their value in building reliable software.You're empathetic, curious, and a clearcommunicator.You enjoy workingindependentlybut know when to ask for help or pair up.You'reorganized, self-motivated, and care about your team's success as much as your own.Don't worry if you don't meet every requirement! Requirements
