Hybrid Cloud & Microsoft 365 Engineer

We are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support secure, reliable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role will cover hybrid platform engineering, automation, identity, and Microsoft 365 administration., * Design, deploy, and support hybrid cloud infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud platforms.

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, and related collaboration platforms.

• Manage identity and access services across Active Directory and Entra ID, including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and user lifecycle processes.

• Support mail flow, security, licensing, compliance, retention, and policy administration across the Microsoft 365 estate.

• Manage connectivity between environments, including VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, DNS, routing, and firewall integration.

• Automate infrastructure and administration tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, or other scripting and IaC tooling.

• Support platform security, monitoring, patching, backup, and incident response across cloud and hybrid services.

• Work with infrastructure, security, networking, and service desk teams to deliver migrations, improvements, and operational support.

• Troubleshoot performance, availability, authentication, and service issues across hybrid infrastructure and Microsoft 365 platforms.

• Maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.

• Review cloud and Microsoft 365 consumption, licensing, and service configuration to identify optimization opportunities.

• Significant experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform, or Microsoft 365 engineering.

• Hands-on experience supporting hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud platforms.

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration, particularly Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Entra ID.

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or both.

• Good understanding of identity technologies including Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and device management.

• Experience with PowerShell and automation for administration, provisioning, and reporting.

• Strong networking knowledge, including DNS, firewalls, routing, load balancing, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity.

• Experience with security, monitoring, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery principles.

• Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview, Sentinel, or other Microsoft security tools.

• Experience with Exchange migrations, tenant consolidation, or hybrid Exchange environments.

• Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, or DevOps practices.

• Exposure to FinOps, licensing optimisation, or cloud cost management.
