Big Data Software EngineerBig Data Software Engineer Bern 80% to 100% As part of the data prototyping team, you create new and innovative data-driven products for Swisscom. What you achieve You blend right in with our group of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists who are passionate about the topics we work on and the methods and tools we use. Together, we invent and implement algorithms. To design and build systems, we leverage knowledge from domains like machine learning, graph theory, distributed systems, data mining, or privacy engineering. We are strong supporters of open source and love to try different technologies, tools, and languages. Your tasks vary from data science to big data engineering, software development and DevOps. As part of an international team with significant cultural diversity, you focus on creating value from the huge amount of data that is available at Swisscom. Requirements

owners, product managers, and business developers. Why you succeed Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in computer science or related fieldSoftware development skills in at least one of the following: Python, Scala, or Java Experience in building scalable and robust REST APIs, CI/CD, and bash scriptingSolid understanding of data structures and algorithms Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g. Spark, HDFS, Yarn, Kafka) is a big plus Familiarity with web front-end development and frameworks or data science is a plus Understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), data warehouse (e.g. Teradata), or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Elasticsearch), and experience with Kubernetes and Docker are plus Highly curious personality, motivated to learn and experiment with new technologies, data, and tools Very good English, German or French a plus Curious to know more?
