Infrastructure Engineering Specialist (DV Cleared)

I'm currently supporting a client within the secure technology and critical infrastructure space who are looking to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Specialist to join a growing engineering team.

This role would suit a hands-on infrastructure professional with experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex infrastructure environments within secure, highly regulated or mission-critical organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support enterprise infrastructure platforms across compute, storage, virtualisation and networking technologies.
• Deliver infrastructure projects from initial design through to implementation, operational acceptance and ongoing support.
• Support and enhance monitoring, security and operational technology environments.
• Drive automation and operational efficiencies through scripting and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, security and operational teams to ensure resilient, secure and highly available services.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, runbooks and operational procedures.
• Support incident, problem and change management activities within complex production environments.

Skills & Experience

• Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• VMware, Microsoft Server, Hybrid Cloud or Virtualisation technologies.
• Networking and security technologies.
• Monitoring platforms and operational support tooling.
• CCTV, Building Management Systems (BMS), Operational Technology (OT), SCADA or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Automation and scripting using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform or similar technologies.
• High availability, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Experience working within Defence, Government, Critical National Infrastructure, Utilities, Telecommunications or similarly regulated sectors.

Security Requirements

• Active DV Clearance
• Candidates with current or recently held DV clearance are particularly encouraged to apply.
