Job description
Apex Systems is currently hiring for Sr. Network Administrator with Defense and Space client. This role supports a newly awarded five-year DoD program in Clarksburg, WV. This individual will serve as a senior-level contributor on a four-person network operations team responsible for supporting and maintaining mission-critical enterprise network infrastructure supporting classified government environments.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will possess strong Cisco networking expertise, experience supporting enterprise routing and switching environments, and the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. This role will also serve as a backup to the Team Lead when necessary and requires strong communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, and poise during high-pressure outage situations.
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure supporting DoD operations.
- Perform Layer 2 and Layer 3 network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Manage and support Cisco and Juniper networking environments.
Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills: Certifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification o CompTIA Security+ Certification (required).

CCNA Certification preferred; candidates willing to obtain within six months of hire will be considered. Experience:

6+ years of network administration or network engineering experience preferred.

Experience supporting enterprise-level networking environments.

Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure. Technical Skills
