Job description
CPI Card Group is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise network infrastructure. This role supports a multi-site enterprise network environment, combining engineering and day-to-day operational support to ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing network.
Reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Operations Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining network reliability, implementing improvements, and supporting critical business operations. Responsibilities What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and VPN solutions
- Maintain and optimize network performance, reliability, and capacity
- Perform ongoing maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a production environment
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call responsibilities
- Ensure network configurations meet security and compliance requirements
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
What You Bring (Requirements)
- 5+ years of network engineering and/or operations experience
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise, multi-site network environments
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cisco (including Meraki), Palo Alto networking platforms (including IONs and Panorama), Arista (including CloudVision), or comparable technologies
- Familiarity with PCI compliance requirements
- Familiarity with LogicMonitor
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking environments
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools
