Job description
TEKsystems is seeking Desktop Support Technicians to provide onsite technical support services for Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC). The technicians will support enterprise-level IT environments and work under the direction and supervision of LLUMC management. This role is responsible for providing end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, telephony equipment, and related hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of IT support experience in a corporate or healthcare enterprise environment and possess strong troubleshooting and customer service skills., Provide onsite desktop support for Windows and Mac workstations. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware. Support mobile devices including smartphones, tablets, and associated applications. Configure, deploy, and support telephone and telephony equipment. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues. Support Microsoft Windows operating systems and standard enterprise applications. Create, manage, and update support tickets in the organization's IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. Perform user account support, password resets, and workstation setup activities. Install software updates, patches, and approved applications. Support printers, peripheral devices, docking stations, monitors, and related equipment. Provide timely technical support to end users while maintaining a high level of customer service. Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams when necessary. Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and asset information according to established procedures. Assist with device deployments, refresh projects, office moves, and technology rollouts., This position is performed onsite at Loma Linda University Medical Center facilities in San Bernardino County. Consultants will work under the direction and supervision of LLUMC management and within LLUMC-controlled environments. Services are provided on a time-and-materials basis, and weekly timesheet approval by the designated LLUMC representative constitutes acceptance of services performed.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of desktop support experience in an enterprise IT environment. Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems. Basic experience supporting MacOS devices. Experience supporting mobile devices and telephony equipment. Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and device configuration. Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office, and common enterprise applications. Experience using a ticketing or service management system. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous healthcare or hospital IT support experience. Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or other endpoint management solutions. CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications. ServiceNow ticketing experience Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
