TSSCI Software Engineering Lead

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineering Lead to sit in Arlington, VA. This leader will oversee multiple Agile engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, and deploying mission-critical software solutions supporting highly secure environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven people leadership experience, driving architectural strategy, DevSecOps maturity, CI/CD automation, and software delivery excellence. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership, product stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while fostering a high-performing engineering culture and supporting long-term modernization initiatives. This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who thrives in complex, mission-focused environments and has a passion for building teams, improving delivery processes, and shaping organizational technology strategy.

Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degree) Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and delivering complex software systems Strong Agile software development experience across the full SDLC Experience translating business/mission requirements into technical delivery plans and sprint goals Hands-on experience with: JavaScript, Python, Java, PLSQL, YAML, Terraform, GitLab, Jenkins or Ansible Automation Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Experience with DevSecOps practices, automated testing, observability, and security controls Software release management and version control experience Experience using Jira or equivalent Agile project management tools Experience with: GitHub, Gradle, PowerShell, Java Full Stack Development, Oracle 19c or Web Services

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Prior experience supporting DISA programs and mission partners AWS cloud design, development, and deployment experience Experience driving engineering strategy across large organizations Experience implementing governance, standards, and engineering best practices Experience incorporating Generative AI tools into software engineering organizations
